ABOUT US

Mission Statement
The Cleveland Coalition Against the Death Penalty (CCADP) is a diverse group of religious and secular organizations, and individual citizens, working to oppose all Ohio and federal executions and to abolish capital punishment in Ohio and the United States. We believe that no one should be put to death at the hand of any government. We bring this message to the public, and to public officials, through sidewalk protest vigils, leafleting, petitioning, media contact, an e-mail network, and our speakers' bureau. At the time of an execution, we vigil in a Downtown Cleveland church and send a delegation to the prison in Lucasville, Ohio. And we constantly seek to add other concerned people to our community of conscience.
